Bloodred
Bloodred cornsnakes (aka "bloods") are a selectively bred
variation of the genetic pattern morph "diffuse".  Since
bloodreds were the original cornsnakes showing the diffuse
gene, the term is still commonly used for the genetic trait
instead of being strictly reserved for the selectively bred
variation.  Ideal bloodreds not only show the traits of the
diffuse gene, but as fully mature adults, show the
coloration which gave them their name...an almost
uniformly deep red cornsnake whose pattern is virtually
indistinguishable.
