Charcoal
Charcoal, or anerythrism B, is also a simple recessive gene
and is located at a different locus than anery A.  Breeding a
charcoal and an anery A cornsnake together will result in
normal looking hatchlings het for each trait.  Like anery A,
charcoal can vary greatly in appearance, but can be
broadly described as being lower in contrast and having a
darker ground color than anery A's.  The appearance of
yellow, or the lack thereof, cannot be used to differentiate
between the two morphs.  As hatchlings, charcoals may
have a purplish cast and generally look different from
anery A hatchlings, making it probable to tell them apart.
