Dilute Projects
This project originated with a pair of hatchlings that made their
appearance in 2005 from two separate clutches sired by the same male.
Both clutches contained definite anerythristics, anerythristic motleys,
ghosts, ghost motleys and one dilute anerythristic motley.   Rob and Louise
Stevens of Bayou Reptiles were the first breeders to recognize dilute
anerythristic motleys as something different and introduced them as Blue
Motleys.  The dilute gene acts in a similar/identical fashion to the gene that
produces the blue color in several breeds of dogs.

I've had a bad run of luck with the dilute anerythristic motley hatchlings
I've produced prior to 2008, as well as losing several adult het breeders,
but the 2 females I purchased from CCCorns in 2006 are growing well, as
are my '08 dilutes.  I bred one of the '06 females in '09, but she failed to
become fertilized as of this writing.  I'm still hoping maybe she's retained
sperm and just hasn't ovulated yet.

I've got plenty of combinations with the dilute gene planned for the future.
It will just take some time for them to come to fruition.
