Sunkissed is another form of hypomelanism caused by a
single recessive gene. It is located at a different locus than
the other known hypomelanistic genes so breeding a
Sunkissed to another hypo corn snake will NOT produce
hypo offspring. Rather, the resulting offspring will be
normal in appearance but will be heterozygous for both
hypo genes. In many cases, Sunkissed exhibit a unique
head pattern and odd coloration, but in some cases cannot
be visually distinguished from the other hypos.
